A passenger en route from Guangzhou, China, to Nairobi, Kenya, put on the contents of his luggage rather than pay to check his suitcase.
Most travelers dislike the now-common airline practice of charging for checked baggage. But in China, one man took his frustration to extremes.
The Guangzhou Daily reports that when a passenger arrived at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and was told his luggage exceeded the airline’s allowable weight limit, he took the drastic step of putting on more than 60 shirts and nine pairs of pants.
The man, who was flying to Nairobi, Kenya, and was carrying a variety of batteries and small electronics, was stopped by the metal detector and had to undergo a full body search.
