A stabbing at a junior high school near Reading, Pa., has sent at least one student to the hospital
The stabbing was reported at 8:29 a.m. at Wilson Southern Junior High School in Spring Township, according to the local ABC affiliate, which reported that a male student is in custody.
Police reportedly told ABC 6 that the stabbing stemmed from a dispute between two 14-year-olds over Facebook. The dispute turned violent when the pair met in person and one of the 14-year-olds was stabbed multiple times, the station reported.
Both the middle school and the adjoining Cornwell Terrace Elementary School went into lock-down, ABC reported. Meanwhile, classes were cancelled for the rest of the day.
There was no immediate word on the condition of the person who was stabbed.
