Thanksgiving travel is expected to increase this year as Americans head for home. Most will drive.
More people will be hitting the road for Thanksgiving this year, according to groups that track traveling trends. While the average travel distance has decreased and the amount of money people are spending on holiday travel is down, more Americans will spend time on the road hustling to their family gatherings, said Beth Mosher, a spokeswoman for AAA Chicago.
