Girl finds baggie of 'white substance' at Chuck E. Cheese's

The girl's mother said she believed the baggie contained drugs.

A child found what appeared to be a bag of drugs at a Chuck E. Cheese's restaurant in Illinois on Sunday.

Fox 2 in St. Louis reported that a 4-year-old girl was at a birthday party at a Fairview Heights, Ill., Chuck E. Cheese's on Sunday night. She got on a carousel ride and returned from it with a "baggie full of a white substance," the girl's mother told Fox 2.

The mother requested not to be identified. She told Fox 2 that she believed the baggie was full of dope and took it to management.

"I asked, 'What do you want me to do with it?' They said throw it away, so I threw it away," the girl's mother said.

She said the management of the restaurant did not want to call the police because there were several birthday parties going on that night.

Chuck E. Cheese's released a statement quoted by Fox 2 regarding the incident.

"We are aware that a guest found an unknown substance in our Chuck E. Cheese's location in Fairview Heights," the statement says. "Our store-management personnel were notified, and the substance was immediately disposed of by the guest. As such, law enforcement could not verify the nature of the substance."

Fox 2 said a police report has been filed and officers searched for evidence at the Chuck E. Cheese's on Monday.
