Amazon.com opens 3-D printing supply shop

In another sign that 3-D printing is becoming commonplace, Amazon.com is now selling 3-D printers and supplies.

Once considered the stuff of science fiction, 3-D printing has become so commonplace that you can now buy your very own machine on Amazon.com.

The e-tail superstore also has launched a section dedicated to 3-D printer filament and other supplies, CNET reported.

Earlier this year, office supply store Staples also began selling 3-D printers, ZDNet reported.

Prices on Amazon start at just over $1,000 and go up from there.
