Rumor: Michelle Obama to appear on second Vogue cover
The fashion world is abuzz after a Vogue photo team was spotted at the White House
UNCONFIRMED: Michelle Obama will appear on an upcoming cover of Vogue magazine
First lady Michelle Obama graced the cover of Vogue magazine weeks after she moved into the White House in 2009, wearing a magenta Jason Wu dress. Since then she’s been nothing short of a fashion trendsetter and if rumors reported by the Global Grind and Huffington Post are true, then Mrs. Obama is due for her second appearance on the front of the magazine.

Photog crew spotted
Mark Knoller, CBS White House correspondent, kicked off the rumors with the tweet noting “Vogue is bringing camera gear to the WH this morning” (find Knoller on Twitter). The Washingtonian reports that famed photographer Annie Leibovitz is helming the shoot, though it’s unclear what the first lady will be wearing and if her husband – who reportedly has a convenient opening in his schedule – will be in on the action.
Editor strong Obama supporter
Anna Wintour, Vogue’s editor, is a well-known Obama supporter and was one of the Obama re-election campaign’s most prolific fundraisers. Wintour’s name was even floated as a potential ambassador to the United Kingdom, though that plan appears to have been scrapped, so it comes as little surprise that the magazine would be keen on putting the Obamas front and center again.
