CONFIRMED: The former professional cyclist has reportedly turned down an offer to appear on ABC’s reality show 'Dancing With the Stars' amid public scrutiny over his recent doping confession.
According to an Entertainment Weekly report, sources say Lance Armstrong declined an offer from ABC to appear in its sixteenth run of Dancing With the Stars this spring.
Entertainment Weekly reports the network approached Armstrong before his recent high-profile interview and doping confession to Oprah Winfrey.
The report states Armstrong is among several high-profile celebrities who are regularly asked to join the cast.
Armstrong’s spokesperson told Entertainment Weekly, “Lance has been offered the show each and every year since its inception. Although flattered he has passed on their generous offers.”
It has also been rumored that actress Lindsay Lohan declined to appear on 'DWTS’ this season. She was reportedly offered up to $550,000.
