American Airlines gate agent reportedly shouted at actress in front of other passengers

CONFIRMED: Airline issued apology to Chenoweth, refunded cabin pet charge

Kristin Chenoweth, who always travels with her emotional support dog, likely won't make a reservation with American Airlines again anytime soon, if her recent #tripfromhell tweet is any indication.

According to a TMZ report, Chenoweth was boarding a commercial flight from Dallas to Los Angeles on Tuesday when the gate agent supervisor confronted her, claiming she didn't have the proper paperwork to bring her dog, Maddie, onboard. The agent reportedly began screaming at Chenoweth in front of other passengers, causing the "Glee" and Broadway star to burst into tears. Chenoweth eventually was allowed to board the flight with her dog.

American Airlines executives issued an apology to Chenoweth. The statement, obtained by TMZ, also mentions that the airline refunded the $125 charge to carry pets onboard.

Chenoweth sent out another tweet on Friday, clarifying Maddie's role in her life. In July, Chenoweth was struck by a piece of lighting equipment on the set of "The Good Wife," causing her to fall and smack her head on the concrete. Among her many injuries was a skull fracture. Madeline Kahn Chenoweth, aka Maddie, has been with Chenoweth ever since.

Injury prone?

Chenoweth has been injured more than once while on the job.

TMZ chronicled her past incidents in a 2011 story. In 2003, she injured her neck during the pre-Broadway engagement of "Wicked." Then, in 2006 she fell off an elevated section of the stage during a rehearsal of the Broadway revival "The Apple Tree." And in 2011, Kristin injured her back on the set of “Glee” when she tumbled down a set of concrete stairs.
