Rumor: Is Shaggy dead?
The singer was a victim of celebrity death hoax and is in fact alive and healthy.
UNCONFIRMED: Rumor has it that Shaggy is dead. However, a rep for the reggae singer has confirmed that he is in fact very much alive.
Rumors that's started circulating online said that the "It Wasn't Me" singer was stabbed to death during a nightclub brawl in Los Angeles.
Shaggy's rep told TMZ, "(Shaggy) is like a cat with 9 lives … but I can happily report that he’s alive and kicking and in the same building as me right now as we speak." Shaggy's Wikipedia page was also updated to reflect his fake death.
Last summer rumors surfaced that Shaggy had died in a car accident after the phrase RIPShaggy started trending on twitter.
