A Russian girl tattooed her boyfriend's name on her face 24 hours after meeting him. The two are now set to be married.

Confirmed: Girl tattoos date's name on face after first meeting.

It was tattooing at first sight.

A Russian girl had her face tattooed with her boyfriend's name 24 hours after meeting him, UPI reported. And what's more, the tattoo artist is her boyfriend, now fiancé.

The tattoo has now gone viral on Facebook, with some describing it as "the next level face tattoo from Russia."

Tattoo artist has been in the news before

The girl's boyfriend, tattoo artist Rouslan Toumaniantz, was in the news four years ago when he allegedly tattooed an elaborate pattern of 56 stars on a Belgian teenager's face against her wishes, Gawker reports. The allegation was eventually dropped after the teen admitted that she had made up the story because her father became angry after seeing the tattoos.

The controversy forced Belgian-based Toumaniantz to move to Russia, where he met Lesya via online chat.

MSN News contacted Lesya for an interview, but were told that the couple do not give interviews.

Facebook reaction

Lesya, who has taken her boyfriend's last name, has made her new tattoo her Facebook profile picture, which has received 149 "likes" and quite a few comments so far.

"It's a symbol of our eternal devotion. I'd like him to tattoo every inch of my body," Lesya wrote on her Facebook page.

"Why would u have that on ur face ???? Nice style and that but really on ur face????," wrote Facebook user Nathan Hammer Christian.

A blog post on the tattoo and piercing site BME says the tattoo echoes Latin American gang tattooing "MS-13 is the first thing that's come to many people's minds. ... But to be clear the tattoo has nothing about committing to a life in a gang it's a commitment to love."
