Marijuana tour sells out in Colorado

Two Colorado entrepreneurs have started a company that offers marijuana-themed tours of the state.

California has wine. New York has pizza.

And Colorado has pot.

Colorado entrepreneurs James Walker and Matt Brown have started My 420 Tour, America's first-ever marijuana tourism company, International Business Times reported.

According to the 420 Tour website, tickets for their tour events, which they're calling World Cannabis Week, have sold out. World Cannabis Week 2013 runs during the weekend of April 20, or 4/20, an unofficial cannabis holiday.

"The demand has been overwhelming and we have already sold three times as many tickets as we expected," the website says.

The tour includes a 420-friendly hotel, 420-friendly transportation, daily marijuana happy hours, a marijuana cooking school and tours of dispensaries. The events run from April 17 to 23.

"World Cannabis Week will be the Napa Valley of cannabis tours," Walker, CEO of My 420 Tours, told the International Business Times.

The Times reported that prices for the tours start at $550. The tours also include concerts and a "High Times Cannabis Cup."

Marijuana became legal for recreational use in Colorado in November after voters there passed Amendment 64. However, the substance remains illegal federally.
