Joe Jackson recovering after stroke

Joe Jackson, father of the late pop star Michael Jackson, suffered a stroke in Las Vegas on Thursday, Nov. 29.

La Toya Jackson has assured fans her father, Joe, is "recovering" and feeling "a lot better" after suffering a mild stroke.

The Jackson family patriarch and former manager of the Jackson 5 was reportedly admitted to a Las Vegas hospital after falling ill on Thursday morning, Nov. 29. He is expected to be sent home on Friday, Nov. 30.

La Toya has taken to her Twitter.com page to clear up speculation about her father's health. She writes, "Thank you all so very much for your concerns in regard to my father! He is recovering and is doing a lot better! Thank you for the well wishes and prayers for my father! It's much appreciated! Staying positive!"
