Developers hope an app will cut down on the time San Francisco 49ers fans in the new Levi's Stadium spend waiting in line to buy a beer or go to the bathroom.

Thirsty for a beer but don't want to miss the next big tackle? There will be an app for that.

Levi's Stadium, the new home for the National Football League's San Francisco 49ers, is developing an app that will advise fans of the shortest stadium beer and bathroom lines.

When the stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., opens next season, it will feature an assortment of high-tech extras such as high-speed connectivity that will allow fans to watch replays from multiple angles and stream the NFL RedZone channel from their seats.

But perhaps the most-hyped feature is a stadium-specific app that gives real-time updates on the shortest beer concession and bathroom lines, reports Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports.

"Technology in the 49ers new stadium is amazing. Will have an app that allows you to find the shortest beer lines. Mind blown," he recently tweeted.

Getlin then followed up with:

"App will work for food & bathroom lines. Will play replays, your choice of angle. Stadium WiFi lets you stream NFL Redzone from your seat."

Next order of business: getting beer delivered to your seat so you don't even have to get up.
